Hugo Silva, Leonor Watling, Esther Acebo, and Gorka Otxoa star in the new Netflix film, produced by Fonte Films

Hugo Silva (Un amor, Los hombres de Paco), Leonor Watling (La vida breve, No me gusta conducir), Esther Acebo (La casa de papel, Operación Marea Negra), and Gorka Otxoa (Machos Alfa, Desaparecido) lead the cast of Netflix’s new Spanish film, an adaptation of the hit Danish Netflix thriller Love for Adults with a fresh take that transposes the story to a local Spanish setting.

Víctor (Hugo Silva) is a successful businessman torn between his loyalty to his wife Noelia (Leonor Watling) and the passion and ambition he shares with his lover and business partner, Blanca (Esther Acebo), who is determined to maintain her luxurious lifestyle at any cost. Javi (Gorka Otxoa), Victor’s brother, will witness this love triangle where loyalty and betrayal intertwine and nothing is what it seems.

Produced by Fonte Films for Netflix, the film is directed by Fernando Izquierdo. The project features a screenplay by Carlos López ( El cuerpo en llamas, Ciudad de sombras), is produced by Pablo Isla (El Centro, La sombra de la tierra) and Carla Pérez de Albéniz (Mientras dure la guerra, El desconocido), and executive produced by Fátima Dapena ( Hasta el cielo, Clanes), and was filmed in various locations throughout Barcelona. The film is an adaptation of the Netflix feature film *Amor para adultos*, originally based on the novel *Loving Adults* by Anna Ekberg.

Rounding out the cast are Pau Luna ( Chopin, Chopin), Elisabet Gelabert (Te doy mis ojos, Money Heist), and Íñigo Azpitarte ( Cuando dejes de quererme, Handia), among others, with a special appearance by Karra Elejalde (El niño, Eight Basque Surnames).

Fonte Films will launch in the fall of 2022 with the goal of promoting quality, innovation, and talent in the audiovisual industry. Its founders are Pablo Isla (former president of Inditex and current president of Nestlé), Carla Pérez de Albéniz (Goya Award winner for Best Production Design for *Mientras dure la guerra*), and María Jesús Román (founding partner of MRG Abogados, with over 20 years of experience in the audiovisual sector). By the end of 2024, its first two projects were released: *Mugaritz. This film marks her first collaboration with Netflix.
